GCA Obtains Dismissal of Federal Anti-Trust Litigation

08/17/2010

LAS VEGAS, Aug 17, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Global Cash Access Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GCA), a global provider of innovative cash access solutions and data intelligence for casinos, announced today the dismissal of the federal anti-trust litigation commenced by Sightline Payments, LLC.

In entering judgment in favor of GCA and dismissing the action, Philip M. Pro, United States District Judge for the District of Nevada, concluded that Sightline Payments' allegations were not supported by sufficient facts to establish a plausible entitlement to relief. Judge Pro further concluded that Sightline Payments' mere allegation concerning GCA's market share, patent rights, agreements with vendors and its agreement to disassociate itself from Sightline's President, Kirk Sanford, were all insufficient to support antitrust claims. Judge Pro dismissed Sightline Payments' Complaint in its entirety.

Katie Lever, GCA's general counsel, applauded the decision: "We are gratified that the Court wholly rejected this claim in our initial request for dismissal," said Ms. Lever. "We believe that the management of Sightline Payments brought a frivolous suit that completely lacked legal and factual merit. The Court obviously agreed. While we understand that Sightline Payments has decided to appeal, we are confident that this too will be seen as frivolous and that we will continue to prevail."

GCA was represented by Pisanelli Bice PLLC and Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP.
