New Game Redefines the Traditional Slot Machine with Penn & Teller’s Unique Entertainment Style; Will Debut at G2E® in September

LAS VEGAS, July 20, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Everi Holdings Inc. (NYSE:EVRI) (“Everi” or the “Company”), the casino gaming industry’s single source provider of gaming products and payments solutions, today announced that it has partnered with Las Vegas legends Penn & Teller to develop a slot machine that perfectly captures the duo’s unique magic and comedy experience that has entertained audiences for nearly 40 years. The new Penn & Teller slot machine will debut at the 2016 Global Gaming Expo (G2E®), to be held on September 27-29 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, and is one of several licensed games Everi plans to unveil during the casino industry’s biggest tradeshow of the year.

“Our game designers are focused on creating unique, engaging games that stand out from the competition to capture the attention of players and deliver great returns for our casino customers,” said Michael Rumbolz, president and chief executive officer of Everi. “The new Penn & Teller game debuting at G2E 2016 marks the initial proof point in our initiative to leverage highly recognizable entertainment and consumer brands in the development of innovative games that translate the unique experiences these brands offer into exciting game play for the casino slot floor. As such, we are extremely pleased to partner with the amazing Penn & Teller on a game that will no doubt resonate with slot players when it debuts at casinos across the country. Penn & Teller are cultural icons who for nearly four decades have created magical experiences infused with comedy to entertain fans around the world and our game developers have captured the spirit of these Las Vegas legends in this truly special game.”

“We are so thrilled to be working with Everi’s creative, inventive team who are adding their own special brand of magic to this game,” added Penn Jillette. "We thought that having a theater named after us in Las Vegas was an honor, but it turns out that having our own slot machine is the ultimate honor.”

From sold out runs on Broadway to their popular television show, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Penn & Teller have captivated audiences for decades with their own special brand of magic and comedy. The duo has been recognized eight times as “Las Vegas Magicians of the Year” and their popular show at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is currently the longest running headliner show in Las Vegas.

Penn & Teller will visit Everi’s booth (#1116) on the G2E show floor on September 27 for their slot machine’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony. They will also participate in Everi’s TournEvent® for Charities celebrity slot tournament taking place that day. G2E attendees are invited to stop by Everi’s booth to check out the new game and to watch Penn & Teller compete against other local celebrities on behalf of their favorite charities.

About Penn & Teller
For over 40 years Penn & Teller have defied labels—and at times physics and good taste—by redefining the genre of magic and inventing their own very distinct niche in comedy. With sold out runs on Broadway, world tours, Emmy-winning TV specials, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and hundreds of outrageous appearances on everything from Fallon to Friends, The Simpsons to Colbert, Modern Family to Top Chef, comedy’s most enduring team show no signs of slowing down. With an amazing eight wins, including 2015, as “Las Vegas Magicians of the Year,” their 15-year run at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino makes them the longest running and one of the most-beloved headline acts in Las Vegas history, outselling every other resident magician on The Strip. Their acclaimed Showtime series, Penn & Teller: BS! was nominated for 13 Emmys and is the longest-running series in the history of the network. The show tackled the fakes and frauds behind such topics as alien abduction, psychics, and bottled water. Currently, they host the hit series Penn & Teller: Fool Us! for The CW Network, on which up-and-comers and magic veterans try to fool Penn & Teller for a chance to star in the duo’s hit Las Vegas stage show.
